Moth, (unkown)

What Katydid has to say;

Katie: This one is different to that one that jj put up yesterday [here], but a lot like (if not the same) as the ones we get here. I've been calling them wood moths, the chrysalids come out of the ground and they are big and reddish brown, I've saved one to take a photo, and next time it rains (soon) I'll take some pics of the moths. they only come out in the rain, and I have never seen the catterpillers so I supsect that they are wood borers or soemthing... and they might live underground or something.

Boxy: it's got different antennae to the other one hasn't it?

Katie: well the thing is, one of the indications (but not always reliable) about whether a moth is male or female is the feelers: males have hairier feelers because they are trying to detect the pheromones that the females are oozing to attract the males
